Also known as Prelude Soil (Is the Prelude for Great Growing!) Commonly used for lawns, fill, gardens, and other projects where basic topsoil is needed. Topsoil is derived from field-stripped soil.  Our standard topsoil has been screened to filter out large debris; however small pea stone and other organic materials (such as small wood chips) are likely to be present. This small debris often becomes more visible after rain or sprinkling, when water pushes fine material to the bottom layer, segregating larger material to the top layer. This is a normal characteristic of our Standard Topsoil and does not affect soil in normal situations. If desired, use a rake to remove debris. Using a measuring scale of sandy-soil vs. clay-based soil, our Standard Topsoil is normally slightly clay-based, useful when a more dense material is needed. PH levels typically 7-8. Little variance batch to batch. Approximately 2,000lbs per cubic yard. Available for pickup and delivery. Bags and Bulk Available at Lakewood Blvd and Quincy St. locations.
