Commonly used as a soil amendment, to enrich existing soil.  Can be used to enrich gardens, as a nutrient top dressing, increase nutrients in flower pots, and lots of other applications. Adding compost to your soil can improve the structure and health of your soil by adding organic matter and nutrients. Each situation is unique, but Compost is not typically used as a planting media by itself as nutrient levels can be very high and can lead to undesirable results such as leafy growth but little fruit or vegetable growth.  Compost has been screened to filter out large debris; however small pea stone and other organic materials (such as small wood chips) are likely to be present. This small debris often becomes more visible after rain or sprinkling, when water pushes fine material to the bottom layer, segregating larger material to the top layer.  This is a normal characteristic of Compost and does not affect soil in normal situations.  If desired, use a rake to remove debris. PH levels typically 7-8. Little variance batch to batch.

Approximately 1,600lbs per cubic yard. Available for pickup and delivery.  Bulk Available at Quincy St. location.  Bags Available at Lakewood Blvd & Quincy St. locations.
